Strategies for Sustainable Water Management of Meghal River Basin

This book is the result of an exploratory research on the sustainable water development and management of Meghal river basin in Gujarat, India. The sustainable development needs the integration of natural resources and physical processes. This study describes the estimation of the total water requirements as well as the measures to replenish the water deficit with proper decision supporting system for the next three decades. A water balance equation, incorporating the ground water extraction is considered and all water balance components are modeled without calibration.
