The study reveals that these migrant workers experience significant stress and depression, largely driven by factors such as social and cultural adjustment challenges, financial instability, and separation from their families.The book highlights a troubling trend: approximately 44% of the participants exhibited moderate alcohol dependence, illustrating a clear link between elevated levels of stress and depression and increased alcohol consumption. It sheds light on how alcohol serves as a coping mechanism for the mental strain these workers endure. Furthermore, the book discusses barriers to accessing mental health support, such as language and cultural differences, which exacerbate these issues.By providing detailed insights into the migrant workers' experiences,the book underscores the urgent need for culturally sensitive, tailored interventions to improve their mental well.
