STRUCTURAL MECHANICS

Introductory text for the Solid Mechanics subject taught in Engineering courses. The aim is to discuss basic concepts for understanding the mechanical behavior of structures subjected to static loads, analyzing the distribution of forces present and the performance of the structural component. It is also worth highlighting the complementary purpose of this work, which is simply to organize basic but essential content so that engineering students can more easily take the first steps towards learning mechanics applied to rigid bodies.
