Structures assessment by using the numerical analysis. Case studies The book aims to present the ways in which analytical solutions together with numerical approaches can clarify the problems that arise in the analysis of structures. The approaches are based on both the precepts of the ASME code and EN 13445-3. The book contains step by step examples regarding the application of numerical analysis based on finite element method, in order to establish the stress and deformation state of different engineering structures, under different loading conditions.

The authors of the book are professors at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, within Petroleum-Gas University of Ploie ti, with vast experience in the field of structural, numerical and experimental analyzes and evaluations regarding the industrial engineering equipment.
