Student Loan Programs and Higher Education Policy in the United States

This work demonstrates the multidimensional facets of student loan programs in the United States and analyzes in detail the strengths and weaknesses of different kinds of loan programs. It also compares loan programs in the United states with loan programs in other nations, mainly the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia, as applicable. Finally, recommendations are offered that may help policy makers to deal with the issues discussed.
