Students' Perception of the Effectiveness of WAAPP Adopted Schools

Agriculture is an important sector of any economy with high potentials for employment generation, food security and poverty alleviation, yet it's importance has been neglected over the years especially in the area of educating the youth who are the backbone upon which any meaningful development can be hinged upon so they could take up agriculture as a career later on in life. The general perception of these youths remains that it's a profession/occupation of the poor, they thereby lack interest in agriculture as they find school farm practicals to be boring, these are affecting their participation and benefits in/from such programmes. This book thereby serves as an eye opener to all international cum local bodies interested in bringing innovative transformation in the agricultural sectors of all developing and under developed countries of the world, likewise to all stakeholders in the educational sectors in formulating and implementing policies which will spring up student's careers in agriculture.

Samuel Justina Eberechi obtained her first degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension (2009) from Abia State University, Nigeria. She further obtained her M.Sc in Agricultural Extension and Rural Devt. (2015) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is presently a lecturer III in Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan Nigeria.
