Studies on Batch Leaching and determination of % recovery

Leaching is the removal of materials by dissolving them in a solvent. It is a solid-liquid operation, where one or more constituents of a solid is preferentially dissolved when brought in contact with a liquid solvent. The solution withdrawn is known as the overflow and the wet solid is known as the underflow. The amount of solution adhering to the solid will depend upon the time allowed for settling.
