Zahra Yaqeen est titulaire d'un doctorat sur l'isolement des produits naturels et leurs avantages à l'université médicale de Baqai, à Karachi. Elle travaille actuellement en tant que responsable scientifique au Conseil pakistanais de la recherche scientifique et industrielle, l'une des principales organisations de recherche et de développement du Pakistan. Le Dr Yakeen dirige une quarantaine de scientifiques expérimentés et d'étudiants en doctorat.
