Studies on phosphate solubilizing microorganism

The study deals with screening and isolation of phosphate solubilizing microorganisms from soil.These organisms help crops to get inorganic phosphate from soil which is essential for growth and health of crop.Phosphate fertilizers applied in soil to improve crop productivity are immobilized or fixed and only microorganisms can solubilize these phosphates and provide to plant.The isolate Citrobacter is an efficient solubilizer of phosphate and can be used as soil inoculant to increase the productivity.
