The present work is part of a larger project entitled "Research methodology in Cultural-Historical Psychology and Developmental Didactics: contributions by L. Vigotski, V. Davidov, M. Hedegaard and S. Chaiklin", under the responsibility of Professor Dr. Orlando Fernández Aquino, from the Postgraduate Programme in Education at the University of Uberaba, whose line of research is professional development and teaching work. The general aim of the research is the development of a proposal for the organization of laboratory practice in the Chemistry Degree Course at the University of Uberaba, based on the Theory of Study Activity and on the application of the essential principles formulated by Davidov. To this end, a bibliographic search was conducted among Brazilian and foreign authors on various subjects, such as Teaching and Study Activity Theory, Cultural-Historical Theory, types of approach and didactics used in the teaching of chemistry.

Master and specialist in education, Bachelor in Chemistry and Pedagogy. He has been working as a teacher and manager in undergraduate courses at the University of Uberaba since 2008.
