Study of Ethnomedicinal Plants and Their Endophytic Fungi in Nigeria
Details
The research book was designed to preliminary isolated and characterized the endophytic fungi associated with three ethnomedicinal plants family (meliaceae), namely Khaya senegalensis, Pseodocedrala kotschi and Azadirachta indica. The pharmaceutical potentials of the secondary metabolites produced by the selected isolates (Fusarium oxysporum, Cladosporium sp. and Penicillium sp,) was also evaluated such as antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant properties which remained promising. The research book also provided the basic information about the endomycodiversity relationship among the research plants, moreover there was quite understanding that the secondary metabolites produced by the ethnomedicinal plants were also produced by their fungal endophytes.
