The works of William Gerald Golding, particularly the Lord of the Flies, have received a worldwide admiration and acceptance for his style of language use and intensity of the content. His fictional novel Lord of the Flies reveals the society, culture and the language used in the novel has established his significant contribution to the field of literature, linguistics and stylistics. Through simple language use and various stylistic features Golding communicates to the world that the evilness in human is innate. he employs a number of stylistic features in communicative strategies to bring out the socio, cultural and linguistic behaviour of the characters in the novel.The specialty of his characterization is that he has used only children below the age of fourteen to communicate his message to the humanity.Though the theme of the novel was widely debated, the language use and the stylistic features of the novel won him the Nobel Prize.
