Substance Abuse in Southern African Countries

Substance abuse among youth is a major concern in southern Africa. It includes the frequent use of illegal drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin and many more. Botswana faces a serious challenge of substance abuse among youth in both rural and urban areas. These study reports the level of use of marijuana in Botswana, factors distributing to marijuana use, both negative and positive effects of marijuana and the solutions to the abuse.

Elle a participé à l'Association de la population d'Afrique australe 2019 et à l'Union pour l'étude de la population africaine 2019. Elle est également membre du forum sur la population et le développement des jeunes.
