Concerted efforts of sugarcane disease controlling mechanisms must be implemented that will improve production and productivity. Habtamu C. F. is currently a staff member of the Department of Plant Biology and Biodiversity Management, Addis Ababa University. He works on the areas of Plant Physiology and has also contributed a lot on the preparation of manuals/protocols for the cultivation and management of important Ethiopian crops such as sugar cane, citrus and coffee.
