Summary Writing is also an Important Skill

Summary writing shows students the way of perceiving the most important ideas in a text, the way of ignoring irrelevant and also unimportant information, and the way of integrating the essential ideas in a reasonable way. Teaching language learners to summarize rectifies their memory for what is read. We should know that summary writing is also a skill that no is born with! As teachers on one hand we are supposed to teach the importance of summary wiring, and teach effective strategies for writing good summaries on the other hand.
