Supplier Evaluation Software

The software model presented was created based on the needs detected in the Technical Management of the Petrochemical Complex Morón, Carabobo State, Venezuela. It seeks the reduction of the times of typing and processing of spreadsheets; the provision of information in real time; the reduction of processing and typing errors; automatic information crossing; the generation of indicators in real time; the quality of the information; the minimization of the risk of loss of information; and the consolidation of reports. The supplier evaluation process shown fits the reality of this company, a feature that agrees with what is expressed by Mazo, Giraldo, & Parra, (2011) who point out that each company is a particular case and the choice of methods of approach and final decision in the evaluation of suppliers will be determined by the complexity of its supply management, business model, the availability of information and its level of interaction with the parties involved in the decision process.
