Surface Coating Techniques

Surface Engineering is considered as one of the prime disciplines in the engineering industry which dictates the final intended property of the product. Various factors need to be addressed in the realization of the products in order to meet its service requirements. Products must be able enough to meet various service conditions, multiple working environments, wear and fatigue. In most of the time, failure of the material initiates from the surface. Worldwide various techniques have been followed to enhance the properties among which, alloying the elements suitably modifies the hardness, chemical passivity and strength characteristics.
