The book entitled "Surface Engineering of Valve Metals: Anodizing Zr-4 and Ti Alloy" has been divided into four chapters. The main aim of this book to establish the suitable conditions for anodisation of Zircaloy-4 and Titanium-12 in different electrolytes. Surface preparation is of much importance because of the prominence attached to the entrance barrier in anodic oxidation by various workers in their theories. Several methods of surface preparation were known, such as abrasion, buffing, metallographic polishing, electrolytic polishing and chemical polishing, or a combination of these. The kinetics of anodization of Zircolay-4 and Titanim-12 were found to depend on the Nature of the electrolyte current efficiency, solvent, temperature and concentration.
