Surrogate Motherhood in the globalized world

Talking about surrogate motherhood in a globalized world makes it necessary to first specify the meaning of globalization, in order to understand the universe in which this reproductive modality is currently developed, and that leads to address the techniques of human assisted reproduction, also known as ART, through which the surrogate womb comes into existence.The justification to the topic comes from locating the context under which this form of human reproduction is currently carried out in Mexico, in order to know the factors or elements that give it presence and continuity in the intention of renting a womb for the gestation of another's child. This study focuses special attention on the women who participate as surrogate gestational surrogates, because it is considered of utmost importance the function they perform, as they are key to this activity, since, without their participation, this form of surrogate motherhood would simply not exist.
