SURVALYSIS

Partial involvement in surveys is termed as survalysis. This book is a comprehensive, pioneer and in-depth analysis of the socio-economics of the baseline survey conducted on around 4000 households in the state of Benshangul, Ethiopia. Endowed with natural resources, Benshangul state is where the largest hydro power dam over the Blue Nile River is being constructed. It is worth to know the state's first ever baseline survey by its own government. Simple and easily adaptive methods start with validation of data and gradually move into seven sectors: Natural Resources, Livestock, Crop Production, Cooperatives, Education, Health and Training. Finally, problems and indicative parameters, recommendations, action plans are set out. The book is useful for policy makers, researchers, consultants, development strategists, Monitoring and Evaluation experts and NGOs. Its enormous data presented with over 110 tables, is an information base for any kind of development strategy, impact assessment studies and further study. With the author, 17 more experts of the state at various departments participated in the analysis of their respective sectors.
