Sustainability Assessment

Sustainability Assessment: Developing a Quantitative Multi-Criteria Method with Application in Queensland, Australia utilises the index of sustainable functionality (ISF) as a model for calculating the adaptive quantitative results of a geographical area over a recorded period of time by way of actions via societal performance and ranking. The proposed index-based model is tested over 25 years to formulate records for the ISF of South East Queensland and the State of Queensland. The results, once merged, detail a slow-to-moderate increase in level of functionality for both records. Encouraging milestones in methodological developments reinforces and furthers knowledge base within sustainability science and relating interdisciplinary fields.
