Sustainability in Agribusiness

Agribusiness has an expressive participation in Brazil's economic performance and the long-term concern that sustainability raises is equally important in the country. Few studies have brought a strategic discussion to the management of both topics, in this sense, this work questions, based on a specific case and the analysis of sustainability reports, what are the resources available in Agribusiness and inserted in the Tripod of Sustainability (economic, environmental and social) that allow the improvement of the strategic planning method, ChainPlan? To answer this question, sustainability reports from agribusiness organizations in the state of Goiás were analyzed, as well as strategic projects from the Federation of Industries of the State of Tocantins (FIETO). The data collected was validated by specialists of the productive chains. Finally, an inventory of sustainability topics in agribusiness was proposed, which were inserted in the original ChainPlan method, giving rise to a new sustainability model that facilitates the elaboration of strategic agribusiness supply chain projects.
