Direct sourcing from the farmers and limiting the intermediaries are the best strategies to enhance the opportunities for primary producers and firms. It was experienced that during the glut period procurement of fruits and vegetables from mandi is the best because fruits and vegetables are available at lowest prices with good quality however procurement should be planned through contract farming in other months.
