SUSTAINABLE SOUND ENVIRONMENT IN KINSHASA
Details
The sustainable noise environment in Kinshasa as a challenge of urban governance and eco-responsibility, is an analysis of the inadequacy between the abundant legal arsenal and the drastic persistence of a degraded noise environment. The survey of 1200 households in this megapolis, coupled with the sound level survey, allowed the identification of 411 noise black spots included in the multi-exposure map elaborated. The lack of environmental leadership of decision-makers at the base of urban misgovernance and the eco-responsibility of the population are at the base of the pollution, which negatively impacts the health and quality of life of the residents.
