Sustainable Tourism Development in Bangladesh

Sustainable tourism conserve the environment, meets the necessity of present tourist and local communities without hampering the interest of future generation. Bangladesh has adequate natural resources and long history of cultural and heritage that can be useful for Bangladesh to be a one of the best tourism countries. The existing tourism policy and act of Bangladesh are not at par with the sustainable tourism development manner. Basic requirements are needed for sustainable tourism, regarding facilities are activities and attractions, transportation, commodities, accommodations, food, beverages, restrooms and medical emergency assistance. The main three principles of sustainable tourism development are ecological, economical, social and cultural sustainability. Sustainable tourism create opportunities for poverty reduction and create better image in foreign countries and earnings of foreign currencies. Good numbers to tourist spots like world largest unbroken sea beach, UNESCO world heritage, river, hills and forests, clothing, tribal culture and life style and archeological site are the main strength of sustainable tourism development in Bangladesh.
