The cost of drip system is prohibitive. The subsidy of drip system is reduced to around 50 per cent in the recent year. This can be enhanced to 90 percent 3. Since drip irrigation has helped the farmers to cope with physical scarcity in the study area. Farmers need to motivate to adopt drip irrigation. 4. There is an urgent need for technology to dry fig fruits because it cannot be stored for more than one-day after harvesting. Currently the farmers are facing severe marketing problems in the recent years as they are forced to sell the fruits on the day of harvest at the existing price
