Chalcones are ,beta-unsaturated organic compounds having many biological applications including Anti-viral, Anti-fungal and Anti-inflammatory activities. This book emphasis on synthesis of chalcones using Acetophenone and different derivatives of Benzaldehyde by the simple aldol condensation reaction. The confirmation and identification of product was done by comparing Melting Point and by using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.
