Sanjay Hadiyal nasceu em Morbi, Gujarat, Índia. Foi bolseiro da Universidade de Saurashtra, onde se licenciou com distinção em 2014 e obteve um doutoramento em Química Orgânica, que prosseguiu no CoE-NFDD. Mudou-se para o exterior em 2014, trabalhando para a secção de I&D na Piramal Discovery Solution Ahmedabad como Investigador Associado durante 1 ano.
