Chapter one deals with the introduction and synthesis of Tamiflu by using Ramberg-Backlund reaction as key chemical transformation. The second chapter deals with introduction of aziridine chemistry and its application for the synthesis of Tamiflu by using ring closing metathesis (RCM) as key organic reaction. Chapter three deals with introduction and synthesis studies towards biotin.

Dr. Prakash Narsing Chavan did graduation in 2004 & post-graduation with Organic Chemistry as principal subject from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedakar Marathwada Uni. Aurangabad, Maharashtra, INDIA, 2006. In 2008, he joined for Ph.D. program under the supervision of Dr. S.P. Chavan at Organic Chemistry Division, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory Pune, INDIA.
