Chapter one deals with the introduction and synthesis of D-(+)-biotin. The second chapter deals with the synthetic studies towards olopatadine and methodology for one-pot migration-formylation of benzyl aryl ethers. The synthetic studies towards -cuparenone are described in chapter three.

Dr. Pradeep Bhaskarrao Lasonkar did graduation from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded in 2004 & Post graduation from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded in the principle subject of Organic Chemistry. He joined National Chemical Laboratory, Pune for Ph.D. programme under the supervision of Dr. S. P. Chavan in 2008.
