Tamil Cinema : Recurrent Cultural Themes, Impacts and Futures

Dr. Stephen A. has gone beyond the traditional ways of looking at cinema and has designed a new paradigm for the futuristic study of Tamil cinema. The study has analyzed eight cultural elements that are relevant, dominant and sustaining Tamil cinema and proved that Tamil films have efficiently used them to connect the Tamil audience s core persona. Dr. Stephen A. is an Indian Jesuit who has been involved in the mission of Media Education since 1992. He is the Director of Vaigarai Publishing House, Dindigul, in Tamil Nadu and a resource person for Media Education. He is a visiting professor to several media, social and educational institutes. He has authored 11 books and several articles.
