Tanzanian Journalists Perception of Bribe Taking
Details
Bribery taking is one of the most prevalent forms of corruption among Tanzania journalists. This practice jeopardizes media performance because the journalists who are bribed cannot be expected to be objective; instead he will be serving the one who offers the bribe. The study sought to answer three key questions: (1) To what extent is bribe taking prevalent among Tanzania journalists? (2) Are there any differences among journalists in the ways they perceive bribe taking? And three, and (3) What are the causes of bribe taking among Tanzanian journalists?
