Taste masking techniques for bitter drugs

A feeling of bitter drug gives better eficacy is a myth. A good taste leads to better patient compliance. Not only kids, adults would prefer a good tasting medication. Also, a pleasantly tasting and flavouring formulations would definitely be preferred and would win a game over a competitor's product.As most of the pharmaceutical active ingredients are bitter in taste, this article reviews the techniques available for taste masking and it include the most recent developments and approaches of taste masking. This compilation will be very useful to research scholers and industry professional who are dealing with formulation development especially for pediatric formulations.
