High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Tay Ping Hui (simplified Chinese: pinyin: Zhèng B nhu ; born 10 November 1970) is a Singaporean Chinese actor. He is best known for his roles in television dramas on MediaCorp TV Channel 8, although he also appeared in a few movies, including Infernal Affairs 2 and Summer Holiday. He first attended the Catholic High School and Catholic Junior College before doing his degree at the Arts & Social Sciences faculty of National University of Singapore. A former model, he has a mixed reputation in the local entertainment industry. Starting off strongly early in his acting career with a Star Awards win in the Best Supporting Actor category in 1999 for his role in Stepping Out, and earning enough public votes for a win in the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award in Years 2000 and 2001. He failed to garner any nomination in 2002, and dropped out of the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste award, not helped by reports of his arrogance.
