This edited book investigates the factors contributing to teacher burnout and its potential consequences. Autorentext

Carol Griffiths is Professor of English Language Teaching at Girne American University, Cyprus. She has taught in many places around the world, including New Zealand, Indonesia, Japan, China, North Korea, Turkey and UK. She has presented at numerous conferences and published widely, including her books Lessons from Good Language Learners (2009), Developing Teacher Autonomy through Action Research (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017), The Strategy Factor in Successful Language Learning, Lessons from Good Language Teachers (2018), Individual Differences in Language Learning (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020), The Practice of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) Around the World (2023)*and Language Intake (2024).* Language learning strategies, individual differences, teacher education and support, English as a medium of instruction, English as a lingua franca, action research, burnout, intake, and using literature to teach language are her major areas of research interest.
