Teacher's organizational commitment is one of the basic concepts unfolding the relationship between an employee and an organization. Low rate of teachers organizational commitment in Merauke District has become a yearly problem facing by the local educational policymaker. As the success of a school may depend on how its teachers get committed to, the study was aimed at (a) investigating the contributing factors to teacher organizational commitment in the remote elementary schools of Merauke District, Papua, Indonesia; and (b) designing strategic policies to boost teacher's organizational commitment in the remote elementary schools of Merauke district, Papua, Indonesia.

Dr. Basilius Redan Werang is a faculty member of Teacher Training and Education, Musamus University of Merauke, Papua. He obtained his doctoral degree in the field of Educational Management from the State University of Malang, East Java, Indonesia. His research interest is principal's leadership, teacher's behavior, and school management.
