The principal purpose of the study was to explore teachers awareness, attitude and their practices on multiculturalism in education. To realize the objectives data were collected from Eshet government primary school from the principal, teachers and students through in depth interviews, and observation. Relevant document sources were also analyzed. The participants for interview were selected purposely based on their willingness, cooperation, academic performance and responsibility. Fifteen participants i.e the school s principal, nine teachers and four students were interviewed. The final finding disclosed that teachers awareness towards multiculturalism in education was encouraging but limited.

Genene Yilma W/Senbet is a graduate of Curriculum and Instruction at MA level from Addis Ababa University in the Year 2008 with very great distinction. He taught more than 12 years at secondary School.Currently,he is working as Education Quality Assurance Team leader in one of Private Institutions in Addis Ababa,Ethiopia.
