Details
The post-modern era is meant for knowledge-based society, where it is needed to create an environment in which students could process and assimilate knowledge at a quicker pace. The basic goal of classroom instruction is to help students to achieve mastery on the contents under study. The approach of Models of Teaching is suggested by the educationists to meet up the needs for curriculum transaction effectively. Model Approach to teaching is one of the innovations of the last century to the world of teaching. Concepts are the building blocks of any subject. Unless the subject matters of the contents are related to the particular concepts, it is difficult to grasp. Instructional strategy is also an effective variable for effective learning and in developing the retention ability of the students. Although a few studies have been undertaken to develop instructional materials on the lines of CAM and AOM in Social Sciences, but rare evidence of teaching Economics with those models have been noticed.
