Teachers commonly talk about loving their students, yet no effort has been made to explore the powerful educational potential inherent in these loving feelings. Teaching with Love breaks new ground by paying careful, scholarly attention to the nature, the scope, the dimensions, and the variety of teacherly love. The Author: Lisa S. Goldstein is an assistant professor of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Texas at Austin, where she teaches in the Early Childhood Education and the Curriculum Studies programs. She received her Ph.D. in Education from Stanford University, and is a former primary grade teacher.
