Team Dynamics and Leadership in State-Building

Tun Sri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is the principal architect of modern Malaysia. During the global recession of 1981-82, Dr. Mahathir assumed his leadership in the government. The Malaysian economy has never been stronger or more productive than at present. Dr. Mahathir managed to create an entrepreneurial revolution especially enhancing small business and industrialization in order to eradicate hardcore rural and urban poverty in Malaysia. Malaysia stands now as a model of developing nation in Asia. It became possible only through the hard work and cohesion of a solid teamwork of a few of dedicated vanguards and comrades of Dr. Mahathir himself. Here lies the most important mystery of statecraft and successful leadership of Dr. Mahathir. The prime thrust of the present treatise, thus, revolves around these particular topics of team dynamics ---team building, teamwork and leadership which can bring success in rebuilding a nation such as Malaysia. To this aim, we look into the topics relating to this extraordinarily talented leader whose persona is very much shrouded with a vast series of deep and misty cloud of political moves which are not even clear to many to this new age.
