Technology and Human Resource Management in the transportation sector

This study examined ways in which the technology constitutes a challenge to human resources managers in the transportation sector, using QUIPUX as a case study. To ascertain this, 10 respondents were drawn from the operating areas in Abidjan. Data were collected using both primary and secondary sources and a response rate of 90 % was obtained. The arithmetic mean was used to analyze the data. It was found that: When technology changes there is an obvious need to get the workforce updated. As such, it becomes a challenge to the human resources manager to make sure that employee competences match with the demand.In house modification that follows change in technology often create a state of imbalance in the employees' compatibility with the change. When there is a change in technology, organizational goals can only be achieve if there are displacements. Therefore, managing the level of commitment of employees is a major of the decisional.
