Shillong of NE IND is the main market of tejpat from where it is transported to other parts of the country/abroad. The Cinnamomum has a centre of diversity in Eastern Himalaya & the adjoining regions of NE IND. Extensive R & D works on Tejpat are completed/going on in NE IND & also in other parts of the world.
