Territorial governance and citizen participation in the DRC

Governance and territorial governance are innovative because they offer a place to actors who confirm their position as drivers of change from the bottom up. These new management methods are welcomed in the Democratic Republic of Congo thanks to a historically favorable situation. The policy of decentralization is resolutely to promote the development of decentralized territorial entities, keeping in perspective the social, economic, geographic and societal characteristics of the decentralized territorial entities.The participation of citizens in the success of this policy is only relevant if it strives to establish a climate of trust between the actors and ensures the adequacy between the actions of the state authorities and the deep aspirations of the decentralized territorial entities taken one after the other. The population could participate in the stabilization of their own country if the governance model achieved its intended results.
