Testing of Web services: From Active to Passive

Over the last few years, the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is the latest approach to building, integrating and maintaining complex enterprise software systems. Web services are the applications-based to build these SOA applications. The Quality Of these Web Services (QoS) e ects to the quality of application, and test is a method to assess the QoS. This book, therefore, provides the models, the methods and the tools to test a web service, including unit, integration and passive testing. Moreover, it also analyzes many approaches and tools of software testing. This book should help for professionals in Web services testing, and should be especially useful to experts, students in testing of software, systems or communication protocols.

He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Bordeaux (France). He is currently an assistant professor at Tan Tao University (Vietnam). His research interests: Web services/SOA, Test/Verification of systems and communication protocols.
