Textbook on Clinical Periodontal Diagnosis

Diagnosis or diagnostics is the process of identifying a condition by its signs, symptoms and from the result of various diagnostic procedures. The conclusion reached through the process is called a diagnosis .The term diagnostics criteria designates the combination of signs, symptoms and the test results that allows the physician to ascertain the diagnosis of disease. The physician formulates a hypothesis of most likely provisional diagnosis and in many cases will obtain further investigations to confirm or clarify the diagnosis before providing treatment.This book helps dental students to understand basics of periodontal diagnosis.
