The Adoption of Cloud Computing Technology: Concerns and Challenges

Cloud Computing (CC) is nowadays a trendy topic among businesses and institutions particularly in higher education communities. Therefore, it should be studied and examined further. The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) in Palestine is one of the most important higher educational institutions in Gaza Strip. The objective of this book is to find out the suitability for the adoption of Cloud Computing in IUG. So the IUG has been chosen to be the case study of this book. Then, the main findings of this book will be withdrawn to other institutions. This book, therefore, provide an introduction of CC technology, an introduction of higher education institutions in Gaza Strip especially IUG, literature review, methodology and method used in this book, analysis of collected data, and finally conclusion and recommendations. The analysis should help shed some light on this new and exciting technology, and should be especially useful to professionals in Management Information System, and Information Technology fields, or anyone else who concern in modern technologies in business.

Ahmed J. Mansour is the head of networking and computer department at the MOH. He got the BSc in Communication and Control Engineering from Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), Palestine in 2008.Then he got MS in Business Administration MBA from IUG, Palestine in 2013. His area of interests include Cloud Computing and Management Information System.
