The Amazonian Odyssey

In this book, José Rente Nascimento explores the economic, environmental, social, and cultural dynamics of the Amazon. The book weaves five centuries of transformation, highlighting geographical conditions, Amerindian resource stewardship, the rubber boom, postcolonial policies, and today's development pressures.
