"The Arab Spring" in the Middle East: Causes and Consequences

"Arab spring" is a designation that refers to a series of revolutionary events that took place from December 2010 to 2012 (Syria is still at war) in the Middle East and North Africa. The results of these events in turn have led in different countries from minor changes to a complete overthrow of power and civil war, which were caused by socio-economic and political problems, as well as the intervention of foreign actors.The relevance of the topic lies in the fact that the processes generated by the "Arab Spring" affect the region and the world, and are still ongoing. For instance, ISIS, a terrorist organisation that emerged from these events, is currently active or the still ongoing civil war in Syria has an impact on international processes and therefore the phenomenon of the Arab Spring deserves the most detailed study.
