Details

The high levels of Poverty prevalent in Sub-Saharan Africa is presenting a serious challenge. This however, is also giving rise to innovative systems where social enterprises have more room of implementing social missions targeting the poor and marginalized communities. Social missions are therefore, likely to involve the poor or marginalized groups for inclusiveness since they cannot understand their needs from the outside. Social entrepreneurship is a rapid model occurring around the world. Organizations and people around the world are developing and implementing innovative, effective, and sustainable models to address social and environmental challenges. These solutions include products and services which are brought to the market by new and existing organizations, both for profit and non-profit.
