Parasites in the Tropics are harming and killing people softly. We need to be aware of their Biology and Epidemiology and consequently to eliminate and debar these tropical parasites from becoming a dinosaur and titanic problem which they are actually tending to be. The tropics are characterized by certain types of peculiar and distinctive parasites. In fact, there are tropical parasites from the head to the toe!

Dr Okwa obtained Ph.d Parasitology 1997, M.Sc Cellular Parasitology 1992 and B.Sc Hons Zoology 1990 from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She was a recipient of Commonwealth Fellowship tenable at School of Life sciences, Keele University, U.K. She is presently a Professor of Zoology at Lagos State University, Nigeria. She has 47 journals and 4 books.
